Labs @ Light City Conferences have been hosted at the Columbus Center for three years, since their inception in 2016, as part of the larger Light City events produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts. In 2019 the BOPA merged Light City and the Baltimore Book Festival into Brilliant Baltimore. The Columbus Center was host to the Ivy Bookshop, the Ivy Bookshop Stage, Maryland Romance Writers Stage, Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America Stage, and the Literary Salon.
Hosted by the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science in celebration of President Don Boesch. This event hosted 250 people on the second floor for a dinner and presentation. They also hosted a cocktail hour on the ground floor. Catering provided by ROUGE Fine Catering, event design provided by Stephanie Bradshaw.

In November 2019 the World Trade Center Institute hosted their 30th Anniversary Gala and Maryland State of the Ports at the Columbus Center. WTCI first hosted attendees for two different lecture sessions in our Auditorium and Multi-Purpose Room. Once the lecgtures were concluded, attendees were able to network, sample wines from around the world, taste some of Baltimore's best international cuisine, and were treated to live music and dance performances.
